Myabetic’s „Banting Wallet“ Diabetes Supply Case – My Experience

For a couple of months now, I have been using myabetic’s diabetes supply case. This specific model, the „Banting Wallet“ is available in five different colors. I can say right away that this is by far the best diabetes case I have ever used in my 13 years of being a type 1 diabetic.

What I like most about it is the detachable waste bag. No more loose used test stripes, ever! I love it!

Myabetic is located in the US with the case only available from there via online order for USD 31.95 (about EUR 23.93). Shipping to Germany took just a week for me without any Customs & Excise duty. For more information about orderings feel free to just contact me.

Myabetic’s Diabetes Case in Daily Routine

I carry this case wherever I go. Being able to put everything of importance into it, there is no more need for me to return to my drawer of supplies several times a day.

Of course, this makes the case slightly bigger than what you might be used to. No more does it fit into the pocket of your jacket, you either have to hold it in your hands or stash it in your female counterpart’s handbag.

Handling the case has never been an issue for me. Blood measurement can be done quickly and effortless as you have everything at hand. Used blood sugar test stripes and lancets can be put into the waste bag, which keeps everything clean.

Once this bag is full, you just detach, empty and reattach it – very handy. Gone are the times when I’d put my used bloodsugar test stripes right back into the case, a very chaotic and insanitary thing to do, actually. Thanks, myabetic!

A Big and Sturdy Bag Made of High Grade Material

This model of the „Banting Wallet“ is made of artificial leather. It is very robust and there are nearly no traces of wear so far. The general manufacturing is more than adequate for this price tag.

There were some difficulties opening and closing the zippers at first, but after some uses it eased up quite a bit. The bag’s high durability also allows for extensive outdoor events and tours.

As mentioned before, the bag offers enough storage room for all your supplies. In addition to pens, test stripes and lancing devices, there’s also space for nearly every common blood sugar meter, even the somewhat bigger Accu-Chek Mobile II.

There is a slot for documents on the back of the case, as well as an additional zipper-sealed bag on the outside. The inner bag offers enough room for accessories like lancets and injection heads. The pictures above show in more detail what I managed to tuck in the case.

My conclusion: An innovative diabetes case with enough room for all your diabetic needs

With such a size, I am able to stash away all of my diabetes accessories for one or more days. Finally there’s room for both pen and glucose meter in the same case. The detachable waste bag ensures clean and uncluttered disposal of used utensils, a very innovative idea and superb implementation. Just this little detail is already worth the money.
